Getting started as a parent
Your swimmer or their coach invited you. Here's what you'll see, what you'll be asked to approve, and how paying the club works.

A free account that follows your swimmer: today's practice and the times they swam in it, the meet schedule, entries you approve, results, and any dues or meet fees the club bills through Beyond the Blocks.

Open the invite email
It comes from team@beyondtheblocks.io with your swimmer's name in it. If your swimmer is under 13, the coach sent it when they added your child to the roster; if 13 or older, your swimmer sent it from their Settings.

Create your free account
Tap the button in the email, set a password, and confirm you're the parent or guardian. Parent accounts are free, always.
You'll know it worked when
Your swimmer's name is at the top of your home page.

Look at the home page
The week at a glance: practices attended, times captured, the next meet, and anything waiting on you. On a practice evening there's a 'Today at practice' line with the workout and how your swimmer did.

Open the Schedule tab
Every practice this week with the coach's workout, and your own swimmer's times from it once the coach has timed them. Below that, the last three weeks. You only ever see your own child's times, never a teammate's.

Check Billing
If the club bills through Beyond the Blocks, this is where dues and meet fees show up, where you save a card, and where receipts live. If the club doesn't, the tab is simply empty.
What each part does
Meet entries you approve
When the coach enters your swimmer in a meet, or your swimmer picks their own events, you get an email and a card on your home page listing the events and the fee. Approve before the deadline, or ask the coach to change it. Nothing is charged until the coach confirms.

Monthly dues charge on the day the club picks, on the club's own calendar. Meet fees are charged when the coach confirms entries. Money goes straight to the club through its own Stripe account; Beyond the Blocks takes none of it.

Your swimmer's personal bests, goals, and meet history, and the Time Progression chart with qualifying standards for their age group.
Watch
Follow other swimmers, a rival or a cousin on another club, and see their results next to your swimmer's. Coverage comes from swimmers on Beyond the Blocks and from the results files coaches upload after meets, so it grows as more clubs join.
Under 13
Children under 13 don't get a login. You are the account: you see their schedule, times, results, and approvals, and you manage their privacy. On their 13th birthday they can create their own login and you stay connected.
